Glencar native Muireann Devaney has been called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad for an upcoming training camp.
The midfielder, who is in her second season with Athlone Town has enjoyed a stellar campaign to date both personally and as part of the Midlands-based side's squad.
The Town are currently 3rd in the league table and have qualified for the semi-finals of the FAI Women’s Cup.
Devaney has previously been involved in Irish underage squads and is one of several new faces called into Republic of Ireland senior manager Vera Pauw's squad for the training camp including Sligo Rovers attacker Emma Doherty.
