Gweedore win historic Ulster club title

Ulster Senior Club Final Result:
Gweedore 0-13 Scotstown 0-12 (after extra-time)

Donegal county champions Gweedore edged out Scotstown by a single point in extra-time to claim their first Ulster Club title in a pulsating encounter at Healy Park in Omagh on Sunday.

In very wet and difficult conditions, substitute Shane Ferry scored the winning point after the Monaghan champions had been reduced to 14 men. Neither team led by more than three points in an extremely close contest.

The Gaeltacht club become the first Donegal side to lift the Seamus McFerran Cup in 43 years.
