Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan was due to meet with club chairman Ian Harkin on Monday to decide on the next steps in the wake of Harps relegation from the Premier Division of the SSE Airtricity League.
Donegal Live reports that following that meeting, the board of Finn Harps will convene tonight to vote on Horgan's future as manager.
The Letterkenny based teacher has been in charge at Finn Park for the past nine seasons and has been a popular figure with club supporters over the years.
He successfully kept Harps in the top flight for the previous three seasons but the team struggled this year, winning just four league games out of 36.
The promotion/relegation play-off between UCD and Waterford takes place this Friday evening, Nov 11th, at Richmond Park in Dublin (kick-off: 7.45pm).
