IT Sligo Sports Scholarship student Lauren Cadden produced an impressive run on Saturday to win gold in the women's 200 metres at the Irish Universities Athletics Association Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at Athlone IT.
Cadden, who's a member of Sligo Athletics Club, had been hampered by injury over the past couple of seasons.
However, on Saturday, she produced an excellent run to claim gold for IT Sligo.

Cadden is coached by Dermot McDermott.
He and Lauren joined Austin O'Callaghan on Sunday on Ocean FM to talk about the weekend success.
