St Molaise Gaels have appointed Manorhamilton's James Glancy as the club's new men's senior football manager for 2025.
Glancy succeeds Jimmy Langan, who became the new bainisteoir of Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon before Christmas.
Long-serving club player and mentor Mark Quinn will be Glancy's assistant manager - as Molaise look to build on a successful 2024 which saw them lift the Furey's Coaches Division 1 league title in Sligo and reach the Homeland SFC final for the second year in a row, which they lost to holders Coolera/Strandhill by a point after a replay.
As a club player with Glencar/Manorhamilton, Glancy won six Leitrim senior club championships, six league titles, and a 2005 Sigerson Cup with IT Sligo.
He captained the Leitrim senior footballers and his club, Glencar Manorhamilton, and represented Connacht in the Interprovincial Railway Cup.
As a coach, he worked as a full-time GAA coach for both the Leitrim and Dublin county boards.
He has coached Longford for a time alongside Paddy Andrews at intercounty level and more recently, was head coach of Roscommon Gaels, who contested the 2023 county final.
Molaise have also confirmed that Paul Healy has been re-appointed as manager of the club's women's senior footballers for the 2025 season.
