Josh Cullen has won the FAI Men's Senior Player of the Year as part of the 32nd FAI International Awards with Katie McCabe named the FAI Women's Senior Player of the Year.
Cullen, whose family hail from Blacklion and Manorhamilton, was presented with his award by Ireland legend Paul McGrath at a special ceremony in the team hotel in Dublin on Monday night as the squad prepare for the international friendly against Norway.
Although London-born, Cullen has always seen himself as an Irishman.
His grandparents Bridget and Owen Cullen are from Blacklion in Cavan.
Cullen did play briefly for England and under-16 level but since then has made Ireland his international soccer team - and retains a strong connection to his Irish family roots in Leitrim and Cavan.
