Kailin Barlow has parted company with Sligo Rovers to join First Division Athlone Town for the new League of Ireland season.
Barlow, a former Rep of Ireland underage international, struggled to command a regular starting place in manager John Russell's team last season.
Barlow was part of the Sligo Rovers academy since the age of 14, having played previously with Merville Utd and Benbulben FC.
He has now opted to sign for Athlone for the season ahead.
The midlands club reached the First Division play-offs last season but missed out on promotion to the Premier Division.
