Katie-George Dunlevy wins Gold for Ireland

Katie-George Dunlevy, whose dad John hails from Mountcharles in Donegal, won Gold for Ireland in Wednesday's women's B individual time trial, along with tandem partner Linda Kelly, at the Paris Paralympics.

It's Ireland first gold medal of these games - but is Dunlevy's second piece of silverware in Paris, having won silver in the women's 3000m individual pursuit with Eve McCrystal last Sunday.

They were last of the 10-strong field to take to the road, finishing the 28.3km course in 38:16.58.

Dunlevy won this event in Tokyo three years ago along with Eve McCrystal.

This time in Paris, they were on separate bikes.

McCrystal and Josephine Healion finished fifth in 41:57.61.

Second place went to Sophie Unwin and pilot Jenny Holl of Team GB, and bronze was won by their compatriots Lora Fachie and pilot Corrine Hall.
