Sligo A.C. athlete Aoife Kilgallon was the winner of the Sonia O’Sullivan Cobh 10 Mile Women’s title on Sunday last with a course record breaking time of 56:18.
Kilgallon produced a strong run leading her to the course record, first female home and eight overall in the final standings.
The race, which is hosted by Ballymore Cobh A.C. is named in honour of 2000 Olympic Silver Medallist Sonia O’Sullivan, who was born and raised in the Cork town.
O’Sullivan incidentally took part in the race finishing in a time of 1:12:08.
