Leitrim minor gaelic footballers opened their 2023 Connacht minor football championship campaign on Friday evening with a 1-8 to 0-11 draw with neighbours Sligo in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Leitrim led by one point, 0-6 to 0-5 at the interval, but in the end the honours were shared.
The Connacht minor championship is being played on round-robin basis this year with the top three counties from the group stage qualifying for the play-offs.
Sligo lost their opening match to Galway last weekend by four points at Markievicz Park (1-13 to 1-9).
