Leitrim have confirmed the appointment of Benny Guckian as their new minor football manager.
The appointment was announced on Tuesday night by the county board.
Guckian has plenty of managerial experience across all levels, most recently as the county's senior team manager for two seasons (2017 & 2018). Prior to that, he was Leitrim under 21 manager for a spell - and guided his club St Mary’s Kiltoghert to consecutive senior county finals.
He spoke to Ocean FM Sport's Austin O'Callaghan about his new appointment:

Melvin Gaels Emlyn Mulligan will be part of Guckian's new management team. He and Jimmy Guckian will be the team selectors. The Leitrim under 20 backroom team will be as follows:
Team Manager: Brendan Guckian
Selectors: Jimmy Guckian and Emlyn Mulligan
Goalkeeping Coach: Kevin Ludlow
Strength and Conditioning/Physical Trainer: Enda Lyons
Stats/Analysis: Alan Doonan
Nutritionist: Philip Howard
Leitrim minor footballers had a disappointing season in 2019, losing every one of the Connacht championship round-robin matches.
Separately, Leitrim GAA has also announced that current senior manager Terry Hyland will take charge of the Leitrim under 20 side for the 2020 season.
