Leitrim women's gaelic footballers are 2021 Connacht intermediate football champions after a 2-11 to 2-8 win against Roscommon in Sunday's delayed provincial decider, played in Carrick-on-Shannon.
It's Leitrim's first piece of silverware since 2015.
Two first-half goals from Laura O'Dowd helped helped Leitrim go in level at half-time in this game (2-5 to 1-8).
The sin-binning of Roscommon's influential Lisa O'Rourke proved key as Leitrim edged in front in the second-half - and they managed to hold on to their three point advantage to finish 2021 on a high.
