Leitrim made an ideal start to their Lidl Ladies National League Division 4A campaign following a comprehensive victory over Fermanagh at Ballinamore on Sunday. Buoyed by their recent Connacht Intermediate Championship success, the home side were no match for their Erneside opponents.
Goals from Michelle Guckian, Sarah Reynolds, Róisín Fowley and Róisín McHugh were the catalyst for the victory. Guckian also raised the white flag on seven separate occasions as Leitrim can look forward to Sunday next, February 20th where they travel to face a Derry side who suffered an eleven point defeat to Antrim.

Elsewhere, in Division 3A Sligo drew with Louth in a rain-drenched IT Sligo.
Two late frees from The Wee County's Rebecca Carr and Kate Flood rescued a point for the visitors to deny Anthony Brennan's charges victory.
Sligo's marquee forward Katie Walsh was at her high-scoring best scoring a goal and seven points.
Sligo host Down in Round Two on Sunday next, February 20th.
