Glencar/Manorhamilton gaelic football Ailbhe Clancy was named as the overall Leitrim Sports Star of the Year at Saturday night's Gala Awards ceremony in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon.
The event was celebrating sporting achievement in Leitrim during the 2024 calendar year.
Clancy's role in helping Leitrim lift the TG4 All-Ireland intermediate football title at Croke Park last August, as well as her club Glencar/Manor clinching a five-in-a-row of senior county titles, saw the Glenfarne woman take the top prize.
Clancy was unable to accept the award in person as she was on county duty with Leitrim the following day in Wicklow in Division 4 of the Lidl national league.
Leitrim ladies also collected the Team of the Year award - with county captain Michelle Guckian receiving the Senior Sports Individual of the year accolade.
Two-time Olympian Eddie Leddy was home from America to be inducted into the Sports Star Awards Hall of Fame on the night.
Listen back to Austin O'Callaghan's interviews with Eddie - and Leitrim LGFA Chairperson Kathy Butler.
