Leitrim suffered a fourth defeat in Division 3 of the Allianz Football League on Saturday afternoon in a 4-16 to 1-11 loss to Antrim at Corrigan Park in west Belfast.
Despite making a bright opening to lead by 0-2 to 0-1 early on, Leitrim were caught by the concession of four first-half goals and trailed by 4-7 to 0-6 by the interval.
The game was effectively over as a contest by that stage, but this youthful Leitrim team, to their credit, continued to battle gamely throughout the second half - and were rewarded with a Riordan O'Rourke goal on 52 minutes.
In Saturday's other Division 3, table-toppers Kildare proved too strong for Laois in Newbridge, recording a 0-21 to 0-9 victory.
