Leitrim's Kevin McWeeney is runner-up at Euro Pool Championships

Leitrim pool player Kevin McWeeney put in a very commendable showing at the 2025 European 8-Ball Pool Championships in Malta on Friday to reach the final of the men's singles.

The Aughnasheelin native beat Wexford Robert Brady by 10 frames to five in Friday morning's All-Irish semi-final.

In the afternoon, he went toe-to-toe with England's Giuseppe D’Imperio - with the latter winning  out in the end by 11 frames to eight.
