Bornacoola's Shane Mallon played a key role in Ireland's 53-5 victory over Wales in their opening under-20 Six Nations match at Musgrave Park in Cork on Friday night.
The Irish team ran in eight tries with Mallon, a former Leitrim minor footballer and hurler, showing real moments of skill throughout the game.

Mallon played club rugby with Longford before moving onto UCD.
He wore the No 11 shirt for Ireland and performed with distinction on the wing both defensively and offensively.
The final scoreline is a record win for Ireland at the under-20 grade.
