Players from Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo were celebrating on Wednesday night in Bekan as DCU became the Sigerson Cup champions for 2025 with an impressive 1-16 to 3-6 victory over UCD.
The Sigerson is the Sam Maguire cup for the country's universities.
The DCU squad includes the Downings duo from Donegal, Ronan Gallagher and Johnny McGroddy, who both featured in Wednesday's televised final.
Bunninadden's Luke Marren contributed two points for the winners at corner forward.
He's one of four Sligo players on the DCU squad - Eoghan Smith (Drumcliffe/Rosses Point) and Sean Carroll & Lee Deignan (both Shamrock Gaels) are the other three.
Leitrim footballer Tom Prior was one of the game's top performers, scoring three crucial points for DCU on the night.
His Ballinamore Sean O'Heslin's team-mate Paul Moran is also part of the DCU squad.
