Lough Gill Swim 2019 - The interviews

The ninth annual Lough Gill Hospice swim took place on Sligo last Saturday, August 24th, 2019.

The event was inspired by Neil McGarry from Sligo, who died from cancer several years ago. His family and friends organised the annual swim to raise monies for North West Hospice - and the event has grown in popularity every year since.

Ocean FM Sport's Paddy McGill interviewed competitors and event organisers on the day:

Dara Dever (Mayo) was the first swimmer to complete the 10K swim from Parkes Castle on county Leitrim to the shoreline of Doorly Park in Sligo.
