Manorhamilton’s Eibhia Ní Mhuireagáin (pictured) is a member of the Ireland senior women’s chess team competing at the Chess Olympiad in India, which begins on Thursday in India.
Ní Mhuireagáin, a sports scholarship student at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo, is studying International Marketing and Sales there.
The 2022 Olympiad takes place in Chennai, India, from July 28th to August 10th.
It is a biennial tournament featuring competing nations from across the globe.
