Donegal athlete Mark English WILL run in Sunday's men's 800 metres final at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow after winning an appeal on Saturday evening.
English took a tumble with GB runner Guy Learmonth during his semi-final heat. He recovered to finish fifth in a time of 1:50.70.
However, Learmonth was disqualified after the race and English was awarded a place in the final on appeal.
The Donegal man will now line up for Ireland in Sunday's final.
