For the second consecutive Paralympics, Sligo's Martin Gordon has finished fifth in the final of the men's B 1000m time trial.
In Sunday's medal race in Paris, Gordon and his tandem rider Eoin Mullen again rode impressively, having clocked a new Irish record earlier in the day during qualifying.

The gold medal was won by GB James Ball and Stefan Lloyd - with Gordon and Mullen fifth fastest out of the six finalists.
With just two of the six finalists still race, Gordon and Mullen were in the bronze medal position but the GB and German bikes both posted quicker times to edge the Irish bike off the podium places.
