Mayo’s Sam Maguire hopes have been dealt a huge blow, with news that captain Paddy Durcan’s season is over.
They’ve confirmed that Durcan suffered a cruciate ligament injury after being introduced as a substitute in Saturday’s win over Cavan.
Durcan had already been struggling with injury throughout Mayo’s league campaign, and wasn’t risked in the Connacht final.
