Merville United girls under-12 soccer team secured a top-five finish the prestigious Barcelona Girls Cup at the weekend.
Making their debut in the international tournament, the Merville girls performance superb to qualify from their group and eventually finish 5th overall out of 11 teams.
Merville striker Sophie Herbert (pictured) was the tournament's leading scorer with 13 goals.
Dublin club Lucan United, who sent two teams to the tournament, with the other Irish entrants in the competition with both their teams reaching the semi-finals.
