Met Éireann have issued a status yellow wind warning for county Donegal.
The warning comes into effect from 6pm on Saturday, with the forecaster predicting very strong southwest winds with gusts of 80-100km/h.
The gusts will be strongest near coasts and on high ground with potential for wave overtopping.
The alert is due to end at 10pm on Saturday evening.
