Sligo's Mona McSharry bounced back from the disappointment of her swim in the 100 metres breaststroke final on Tuesday to win her heat of the women's 200 metres breaststroke and qualify second fastest overall for Friday's semi-finals at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha.
McSharry's winning time in her heat was 2:24.82.
She's also trying to reach the Olympic qualifying mark in this event of 2:23.91.
The semi-finals take place on Thursday afternoon at 5:19pm Irish time.
