Mona McSharry qualified for the semi-finals of the women's individual medley (IM) on day three of the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi on Saturday morning with another record-breaking swim in the pool.
She swam a new Irish record for the event - 59.65 secs - and in the process, became the first Irish woman to break 60 secs in the 100m IM.
It's the third Irish record the Grange woman has set at these championships, having already broken Michelle Smith's old record for the 50 metres breaststroke on two occasions this week.
McSharry finished 3rd in Heat 2 on Saturday morning to qualify 15th fastest overall for this afternoon's medley semi-finals.
She has been drawn in lane 8 of the second semi-final, which is scheduled for 3:13pm (Irish time) on Saturday afternoon.
