Finn Harps have confirmed that manager Ollie Horgan has left the club by mutual consent.
His departure was announced in a club statement on Wednesday afternoon - and brings to end a nine-year stint as manager of the Donegal club.
During that time, Horgan twice led Harps to promotion from the First Division - and six of the nine seasons he spent at Finn Park were in the Premier Division.
Horgan, a native of Galway, works by day as a teacher at St Eunan's college in Letterkenny - and has been one of the true personalities of League of Ireland football.
His drive and dedication won him many admirers across the Finn Harps fan base - and his ability to keep Harps competitive in the top tier of League of Ireland football for several seasons earned him widespread praise.
However, this season saw Harps relegated to the lower tier next season having won just four Premier Division games out of 36.
Harps Chairman Ian Harkin said: “We would like to thank Ollie for his efforts on behalf of the club throughout his time at the club. His work ethic and passion are legendary.
"We wish him every success in the future.”
The Finn Harps FC Board of Directors will begin work to appoint a new manager immediately.
Assistant manager Gavin Dykes has also confirmed to Ocean FM Sport that he has left the club.
Dykes gave his reaction to Horgan's departure.
