Laghey's Kelly McGrory will receive a big Donegal welcome home from the Paris Olympics this Friday evening (Aug 16th) when her old school, Abbey VS Donegal Town, hosts a special celebration event at 5pm (changed from 6pm).
McGrory, a member of the Tir Chonaill Athletics Club in Donegal, was part of the women's 4x400 metres relay squad who finished fourth in the Olympic final in France.
McGrory was a reserve for the final - but ran third leg of Ireland's semi-final heat, helping the quartet secure an Olympic final place.
