It appears that Owenmore Gaels will be Sligo's representatives in the men's Connacht junior club football championship semi-final next Saturday.
The Collooney club were knocked out at the semi-final stage of this year's Connacht Gold junior championship in Sligo.
But as both of this year's junior finalists, Winners Shamrock Gaels and runners up St Molaise Gaels aren't eligible to play provincially as they are the second teams of their respective clubs, Owenmore Gaels have been nominated.
Clooncool, the other beaten semi-finalists, didn't express an interest in playing in the Connacht Club, so Owenmore Gaels will play St Ronan's of Roscommno on Saturday.
Ronan's lost the Roscommon junoir final replay to Padraig Pearses last Saturday.
But, again,as Pearses aren't eligible to contest the Connacht junior club championship, St Ronan's are Roscommon's nominated team.
Saturday's provincial junior semi-final will be played at Dr Hyde park in Roscommon at 1pm.
