All-Ireland League promotion semi-final result
Blackrock College 28 Sligo 27
Sligo's bid to secure a second consecutive promotion in rugby's All-Ireland League ended in Dublin on Saturday, when the concession of a late try in added time, saw them lose to Blackrock College by a single point - 28-27 at Stradbrook.
It was cruel luck on Paddy Pearson's side as they had been in front for almost all of the game - and still led by six points going into the 82nd minute of a gripping contest.
But a succssion of penalties against Sligo presented Blackrock with a key try-scoring opportunity - and they took it in added-time - with the successful conversion giving the Rock a one-point win.
Sligo scrumhalf and captain Ryan Feehily, recently named Connacht's Senior Club Player of the Year, gave his postmatch verdict to Ocean FM Sport's Cathal Mullaney.
