A late Conor McManus penalty rescued a draw for Monaghan in the closing stages in Fr.Tierney Park in Ballyshannon.
Donegal looked to have secured the win but Martin McElhinney was punished for a foul on Darren Hughes and McManus slotted home the resulting penalty kick.
