Former Roscommon senior football manager Fergal O'Donnell is taking charge of Sligo county champions Tourlestrane for 2022.
O'Donnell, who lives in Boyle and works as a Garda, succeeds Kevin Johnston who guided the south Sligo club to a sixth consecutive Sligo senior championship last year.
Johnston has since moved on to manage Corofin in Galway.
O'Donnell has a strong managerial pedigree.
He guided the Roscommon minors to the All-Ireland title in 2006 and managed the county senior side to a Connacht title four years later, when they beat Sligo by a point in the final.
He subsequently co-managed Roscommon again alongside Kevin McStay, but that partnership ended prematurely - after one season.
It's understood O'Donnell met the Tourlestrane players on Saturday as he begins plans to try and guide the team to a seventh Owen B Hunt Cup success this year.
O'Donnell's appointment as Tourlestrane is expected to be formally ratified at the next club meeting.
