There was gold medal success for Sligo athletes at the Irish Universities Athletics Association Cross County Championships in Santry on Saturday afternoon.
Dromore West's Keelan Kilrehill won gold for Dublin City University (DCU) in the 8 kilometre men's race with a time of 25:21:00.
NUI Galway's Finley Daly (Keash) and Luke Johnston (Enniscrone) finished seventh and sixteenth respectively.
However, strong running from their fellow NUI Galway colleagues ensured the Galway university finished first in the team event.
