Sligo youngster Jordan Myers has secured at least a bronze medal of the European Youth Championships in Turkey this afternoon.
The middleweight claimed an impressive win against Serbian Djozdic Buksic and will take on a Russian opponent in Friday’s semi-finals.
The Sligo City Boxing Club fighter was previously a gold medallist at the European Schoolboys Championship in 2013.
He is the second member of the Irish team to secure a medal in Turkey, along with Galway’s Gabriel Dossen.
