Sligo are celebrating after an All-Ireland win in the U21s doubles handball over the weekend. Former All-Ireland Minor winner, Cormac Finn, was paired with fellow Ballymote man, Donal Mitchell.
They took on Seán Barron and John Doherty of Kilkenny, and were victorious on a scoreline of 21-19.
Finn also competes in the Open Draw Senior Singles Championship against Mayo's Niall Joyce on Saturday, before contesting the U21 Singles in a few week's time.
No such luck, however, for the Silver Masters B doubles duo of Clive Slevin and Josian Oskoz, as the Drumcliffe Rosses Point clubmen were beaten in two games, again by Kilkenny opposition in Brendan Hosey and Daniel Love, in two games, finishing 21-7 and 21-9 in favour of Kilkenny.
