Sligo GAA Club championship draws are made

The Sligo GAA football and hurling club championship draws for 2024 were made in Scarden on Friday evening.

Homeland Sligo senior football champions Coolera/Strandhill have been drawn in a five-team group 1 which also includes Shamrock Gaels, Calry/St Joseph's, Tubbercurry and the 2023 intermediate winners Easkey.

As is becoming traditional, there is one lop-sided 'Group of Death' with St Mary's, Tourlestrane (now under new manager Mike Solan), last year's beaten finalists St Molaise Gaels, Drumcliffe/Rosses Point and Curry all drawn together.

The top two clubs from each group will qualify directly for county semi-finals.

The bottom two teams in each group will face a relegation play-off.
