Sligo's Senior Men's Gaeltic Footballers helped themselves to a record ever points tally for a Sligo team in the Allianz Football League in a comprehensive victory over Carlow at Markievicz Park.
28 points from Tony McEntee's charges ensured a second win in succession following last week's two-point success against Wexford.
Coolera/ Strandhil's Naill Murphy added to his ever increasing tally for the Yeats County with nine points (four from frees) while fellow forwards Pat Hughes, Alan Reilly, Luke Towey and Seán Carrabine each split the uprights on three occasions.
Sligo led by eight points to three at half-time and an ran riot in the second period with Pat Spillane Junior marking his Markievicz Park debut with two points off the bench.
Next up for Sligo is the visit of Cavan on Sunday, February 20th.
