Sligo's hurlers have given themselves a big boost in their bid to reach the play-offs of the Christy Ring Cup following Saturday evening's hard-earned but deserved 2-26 to 1-23 win over Mayo at Markievicz Park.
The home side recovered from the sending off of Rory McHugh near the end of the first half to edge to victory - with Andy Kilcullen's two goals proving key.
The win backs up their one-point success two weeks ago against Tyrone in Carrickmore.
Sligo manager Padraig Mannion spoke to Gavin Cawley after the game.

Sligo play Meath in their concluding group game next Saturday in Markievicz Park at 1:30pm.
