Sligo senior gaelic footballers bowed out of the Connacht FBD competition on Sunday afternoon when they were beaten by Roscommon by 1-15 to 0-14 in their quarter-final, played at Markievicz Park.
Sligo, who are still looking for their first competitive win under manager Paul Taylor, trailed by 0-9 to 0-4 at the interval, but produced a strong second-half comeback to outscore their opponents by 0-6 to. 0-2 and reduced the gap to a just a single point in the early stages of the second-half.
But Cian McKeon's goal for Roscommon in the second-half undid a lot of Sligo's good work - and the FBD holders ran out comfortable enough winners by the end.
