Sligo minor gaelic footballers began their 2024 Connacht Championship campaign on Friday evening with a draw against Galway, on a final scoreline of Galway 0-11 Sligo 2-5.

Goals from Marc Clifford in the first half and Adam Feeney in the second helped Sligo hold a narrow lead over Galway as the match ticked towards the final whistle.

However, Killian Joyce kicked the equaliser score for the home side in the fourth minute of added time to salvage a draw.
