A youthful Sligo team were soundly beaten by Lansdowne in Friday night's All-Ireland Bateman Cup semi-final against Lansdowne in Dublin, as the hosts ran in 12 tries in a 76-12 victory.
Sligo's success in the Connacht Senior League at the start of the season earned them another last four appearnance in the Bateman Cup but, against their Division 1A opponents, the gap in class was evident.
Lansdowne scored six first-half tries to lead 38-7 at the interval - with Darragh Feehily supplying the Sligo try in the opening half.
Despite an improved second-half display from Paddy Pearson's side, nother six tries followed for the hosts as they eased to a comprehensive win.
Lansdowne await the winners of Saturday's second semi-final between Garryowen and Instonians.
