Sligo and Roscommon minor gaelic footballers will play their Connacht final on Tuesday evening, December 29th, in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, with a 7:30pm.
The fixtures details were confirmed by Connacht GAA on Monday afternoon.
The final had originally been slated for the weekend of January 9th/10th.
However, with a Government announcement on the re-introduction of Covid restrictions expected on Tuesday, there was an impetus to try and bring the final forward and get the game played before the New Year.
The minor final will be decided on the night with extra-time and penalties available if required.
It will be broadcast live on Ocean FM Sport and will also be streamed live by Connacht GAA.
Sligo qualified for their third provincial minor final in six seasons with a spirited 1-9 to 1-7 semi-final victory against Mayo on Sunday. Watch the game back in full below:
Roscommon were 2-13 to 0-11 winners over Galway last Friday night.
Counties were restricted to a matchday squad of 24 players, which meant that 12 of the extended Sligo panel were unable to attend Sunday's semi-final.
Team manager Darragh Fallon is hoping that this can be rectified for the final.
