Sligo Rovers suffered their fourth consecutive Premier Division defeat on Saturday night as they lost 3-2 to early pace setters Shamrock Rovers.
Visitors goals from Jack Byrne, Aaron McEneff and Aaron Greene ensured Shams stay top of the table.
Ronan Coughlan from the penalty spot - and Niall Morahan from play in the dying moments were the Rovers scorers.
The home side showed commendably determination and graft but - on the night - the real quality lay with their opponents with Jack Byrne collecting yet another Man of the Match award.
New Rovers signing Ryan De Vries (pictured) was introduced as a first-half substitute.
Next up for Sligo Rovers is a trip to the Brandywell next Friday night, March 13th.
