Sligo Rovers duo Nando Pijnaker and Max Mata both started for New Zealand in Friday night's 1-0 loss to Egypt in a friendly international.
The Egyptians, who were without Liverpool's Mo Salah, scored the only goal of the game - a first-half penalty from Mostafa Mohamed.
New Zealand will play Croatia in a second friendly match on Tuesday evening (March 26th) - before Mata and Pijnaker return to Ireland for the resumption of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Rovers resume their league campaign on Good Friday (March 29th) with a trip to Waterford FC.
The game will be live on Ocean FM from 7:45pm.
