Sligo Rovers hopes of a European finish in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division this season were effectively ended by Bohemians at the Showgrounds on Saturday night in a 2-0 defeat.
The win for the visitors confirms their Premier Division safety for next season.
Goals from Dawson Devoy in the first half, and from Archie Meekison in the second, gave Bohs a deserved victory against an understrength Rovers team.
Mathematically, Rovers can still qualify for Europe.
The have two games remaining, away to Galway United next Friday, and at home to St Patrick's Athletic.
However, the odds on a top 3 finish (or top 4 if Derry City win the FAI cup), necessary to secure European football next season, are now firmly stacked against the bit o'red.
