Sligo Rovers were beaten 2-0 by Derry City in Friday night's SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game at the Brandywell - Rovers penultimate league game of the season.
Two Jamie McGonigle goals, one in either half, gave the home team all three points.
That is a wonder strike from Jamie McGonigle! 🎯
Such a controlled finish... What an important and timely goal that could prove to be for the Candystripes in their quest to secure 4th place.@derrycityfc 2-0 @sligorovers

The result means Rovers can finish no better than third in the table - but Liam Buckley's side are already assured of European football next season.
Elsewhere, Ollie Horgan's Finn Harps earned a point a 2-2 away to St Patrick's Athletic in their battle to avoid the relegation play-off spot. Two goals from Sean Boyd helped Harps, who had defender Kosovar Sadiki red carded, a share of the spoils.
The Harps manager was also sent to the stand in the closing moments.
Rovers final game of the season will be at home to Bohemians next Friday night at 7:45pm.
Friday night's results
Derry City 2 Sligo Rovers 0
St Patrick's Athletic 2 Finn Harps 2
Bohemians 3 Shamrock Rovers 1.
