Sligo Rovers women lost their opening group match of the cross-border competition, the Avenir All-Ireland Cup on Saturday night at the Showgrounds, in a 2-0 defeat to last season's winners Galway United
Two goals from Galway's Rola Olusola gave the visitors the win.
Group D also includes Glentoran and Athlone Town who play on Sunday.
Rovers and Galway are scheduled to meet again at the Showgrounds again next Saturday (March 30th) in a league fixture at 7pm.
