Sligo Rovers have moved quickly to replace goalkeeper Ed McGinty by signing Sam Sargeant from Waterford FC.
England-born Sargeant, who's 27, played with Waterford a season and-a-half making 45 appearances.
Prior to that he was with English League Two side Leyton Orient, where he made 32 first-team appearances after progressing through the club's Academy ranks.
Sargeant's been speaking to Ocean FM Sport's Ronan Flanagan about his Sligo move.
Sargeant's arrival at the Showgrounds comes less than 24 hours after Rovers Player of the Season in 2024, Ed McGinty, confirmed he was leaving the club after his season-long loan from Oxford United.
Shamrock Rovers have since confirmed that McGinty has joined them on a multi-year deal
