Sligo Rovers have signed a new midfielder, Matty Wolfe, on a one-year deal ahead of the new League of Ireland season.
Wolfe is a native of Wakefield in England, who has played previously with English League One side Barnsley, Notts County and Danish side Esbjerg.
He's 24 years of age - and made 33 senior appearances for Barnsley during his time there.
Wolfe has been training with Rovers since the return to pre-season and has, apparently, impressed boss John Russell.
It's understood he can play a variety of midfield attacking and holding roles.
Wolfe's career has been hampered in recent seasons by a knee injury - but Rovers are hopeful they can get the best of him during the 2025 campaign.
